Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to check out my learning log, any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
To provide a little bit of background about myself, I am in my early twenties, based in the South West and I have A Levels in Textiles, Photography and a BTEC in Fine Art.
Art has been a huge part of my life since I was little. Throwing myself into Arts and Crafts clubs at school, making ‘masterpieces’ with an art kit bought for me one Christmas and actually framing them, writing stories and playing make believe with friends, as well as on my own.
Creativity gives me an outlet, to be free and express whatever it is that I am feeling or wanting to achieve, without speaking a word.
Now I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but my brain is definitely used for good and all things weird and wonderful.
A lot of my work has been inspired by real life events/experiences, such as mourning, mental health and current world problems.
Self-portraiture has helped me learn a lot about myself, the photographic process and modern editing techniques.
I think the important thing to remember while on this course, as well as in daily life, is that we are always learning and always growing. If we stop doing that, how are we meant to continue evolving as people?
